Track & Field. Gamecocks Stay in Palmetto State for Second Meet of 2018

The indoor season continues this weekend for the University of South Carolina track & field team as the Gamecocks stay in the Palmetto State to compete at the Clemson Invitational. The meet begins Friday at 10 a.m. and continues Saturday at 11 a.m. inside of the Clemson University Indoor Track.

Softball. Softball To Honor Superwomen In 2018

In 2017 South Carolina softball honored “superwomen” who are standouts in the community by inviting those individuals to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before games at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field, and after a successful inaugural class the Gamecocks will once again recognize some of Carolina’s best in 2018.

W. Tennis. No. 15 South Carolina Prepares For First Dual Matches Of 2018

W. Basketball. Gamecocks Back on the Road Thursday at Vandy

No. 10/10 South Carolina heads back out for the first of two road games, traveling to Nashville for a Thursday night matchup with Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks (14-3, 3-2 SEC) lead the SEC in field goal percentage at .493, but the Commodores (5-14, 1-4 SEC) are on top of their outside game, hitting an SEC-best 39.2 percent from 3-point range.

Academics. Gamecocks Make It 22-Straight Semesters of 3.0 GPA in the Classroom

The fall 2017 semester ended with the University of South Carolina student-athletes achieving a departmental GPA of 3.230. This achievement gives the department 22-consecutive semesters in which the student-athletes have combined for a GPA above a 3.0.

M. Basketball. Gamecocks come back to take down No. 18 Kentucky, 76-68

Kentucky coach John Calipari thought his freshmen looked like freshmen for the first time all season. South Carolina's Chris Silva continued to look like a major force in the Southeastern Conference who led the Gamecocks' dramatic second-half comeback against the Wildcats. Silva tied his career high he set earlier this month with 27 points as South Carolina (12-6, 3-3 SEC) rallied from 14 points down in the second half to top No. 18 Kentucky 76-68 on Tuesday night. Silva ''was the difference,'' Calipari said. ''He manhandled everyone we put on him.''

W. Soccer. Women’s Soccer Announces The Addition of Claire Griffiths

South Carolina women’s soccer coach Shelley Smith announced the addition of midfielder Claire Griffiths Tuesday. Griffiths joins the Gamecocks after one season at Florida State University.
