South Carolina (6-8-2, 2-4-2 C-USA) shutout UAB (5-7-4, 1-6-1 C-USA), 1-0, in the regular season finale on the road Friday Night to punch the team’s ticket to the 2017 Conference USA Tournament next week. With the win, head coach Mark Berson notched his 500th career victory in NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer.

South Carolina’s offense broke out of a slump in a big way Friday night, as the Gamecocks set a season high for kills in a 3-1 win at Tennessee. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Carolina (11-12, 4-7 SEC), and gave the team its longest win streak over the Volunteers (11-10, 4-8 SEC) since 2002.

W. Basketball. Spann Leads Gamecocks to Dominant Showing in Exhibition Win Over Coker

Redshirt senior guard Lindsey Spann netted a game-high 27 points and totaled eight 3-pointers to lead No. 4/2 South Carolina to a 116-56 victory over Coker in Friday's exhibition game at Colonial Life Arena. Spann reached 20 points by the half, while Gamecock sophomore forward Mikiah Herbert Harrigan tallied 13 points after the break to finish with 19 on the night.

W. Tennis. Carolina Starts Kitty Harrison Right With Strong Friday

South Carolina women’s tennis won 10 of 11 matches to start the Kitty Harrison at the University of North Carolina on Friday. Carolina took both double matches and five of six singles to cap off a successful first day in the final tournament of the fall.

M. Tennis. Men’s Tennis Competes in Individual Competitions

South Carolina men’s tennis individuals competed at three separate individual competitions on Friday. Four Gamecocks earned wins in singles competitions and South Carolina doubles pairings took two wins at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Two individuals wrapped up play at the Birmingham ITF Futures while Paul Jubb began qualifiers at the Niceville ITF Futures.

W. Equestrian. Carolina Falls To Top-Ranked Georgia

South Carolina equestrian dropped a hard-fought 14-6 meet to No. 1 Georgia on Friday at the UGA Equestrian Complex. Carolina trailed just 6-4 at halftime following Equitation Over Fences and Horsemanship, but a late Bulldog charge proved to be the difference in the meet.

The South Carolina Gamecocks (6-2, 4-2 SEC) play their final road game of the 2017 season this week when they travel to Athens for a 3:30 pm ET showdown with the SEC Eastern Division-leading and second-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (8-0, 5-0 SEC) on Saturday, November 4. The game at Sanford Stadium (92,746) will be televised nationally on CBS.

Swimming & Diving. Swim & Dive Takes on No. 9 Auburn at Home Saturday

South Carolina swimming and diving is set to face its third Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent of the season on Saturday. The No. 20 (men) and No. 22 (women) Gamecocks will compete against the Auburn Tigers, whose men and women are both ranked ninth, in the Carolina Natatorium. The meet will begin with diving at 10 a.m. and swimming events beginning at 11 a.m.
