M. Basketball. Silva, Haase lead South Carolina to 80-64 win over Wyoming

Chris Silva scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Felipe Haase added 17 with nine boards, and South Carolina used a big second-half run to beat Wyoming 80-64 on Wednesday night. Frank Booker scored 16 points with three 3-pointers, six rebounds and three steals. Freshman Justin Minaya added 11 points for the Gamecocks (7-2), who outrebounded the Cowboys 43-34 and scored 24 points off of 18 Wyoming turnovers. Haase's 3 put South Carolina up for good, 25-22, and the Gamecocks finished the first half on a 13-3 run to lead 35-25 at halftime.

W. Equestrian. Fabiano Named SEC Rider of the Month For Equitation Over Fences

South Carolina’s Lauren Fabiano was named the November SEC Rider of the Month for Equitation Over Fences, the league office announced today. Fabiano posted a 2-0 record and earned her third M.O.P honor of the season in the month.

South Carolina senior striker Savannah McCaskill has been selected as a nominee for U.S. Soccer’s 2017 Young Female of the Year award, the organization announced Tuesday night. McCaskill joins Real Colorado Development Academy members Jaelin Howell and Sophia Smith and Stanford’s Tierna Davidson on the list of players in contention for the honor.

Swimming & Diving. Gamecock Men and Women Ranked in Top 25

South Carolina swimming and diving's men and women are both ranked in the CSCAA TYR Top 25 the organization announced Wednesday. The women checked in at No. 24 and the men landed at No. 25, marking the first time in head coach McGee Moody's tenure that the women have been ranked above the men.

W. Basketball. Wilson Powers No. 5 Gamecocks To 69-43 Win Over The Cougars

A'ja Wilson had her eighth double-double this year with 26 points and 15 rebounds, and No. 5 South Carolina put away College of Charleston 69-43 on Tuesday night. It was the third straight victory for the Gamecocks (9-1) since their lone loss to No. 3 Notre Dame on Nov. 26. South Carolina now takes an almost two-week break - and early on, it looked like it had begun the time off just a bit early. The Gamecocks opened 2 of 12 shooting with three turnovers and were only up 8-3 over the struggling Cougars (2-6). That's when Wilson got going with four straight baskets to build a double-digit lead that South Carolina would not relinquish.
