South Carolina equestrian dropped its final meet of the fall semester as No. 4 Auburn walked away with a 13-6 victory Friday at One Wood Farm. Bridgett White (Reining) and Lauren Fabiano (Equitation Over Fences) took home MOP honors for the Gamecocks.

It’s Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day as the South Carolina Gamecocks (7-3, 5-3 SEC) host the FCS playoff-bound Wofford Terriers (9-1, 7-1 SoCon) on Saturday, November 18. Game time is set for 4 pm for this Palmetto State showdown, which will be televised from Williams-Brice Stadium (80,250) in Columbia on SEC Network Alternate.

Chris Silva scored 15 points and South Carolina had a dominating first-half performance to beat UTEP 80-56 in Friday's consolation bracket of the relocated Puerto Rico Tip-Off. The Gamecocks (3-1) struggled in Thursday's loss to Illinois State, but they were much sharper against the Miners (1-2). They built a double-digit lead in the first 6 minutes and shot 55 percent in the first half, leading 50-24 by the break and by 32 after halftime. Matt Willms scored 18 points for UTEP, which hit shots early but undercut any momentum with a constant stream of turnovers. UTEP committed 16 turnovers in the first half, leading to 21 points for the Gamecocks, and finished with 23.

South Carolina men’s and women’s swimming finished the first day of the Georgia Tech Invitational in third and fifth place, respectively. Big wins in individual event finals helped South Carolina secure their spots in the rankings at the end of day one.

Lindsey Spann made six of seven 3-pointers and scored 20 points in No. 4. South Carolina's 66-36 victory over Clemson on Thursday night. Spann's outside accuracy freed up defending national champion South Carolina (3-0) in the paint. A'ja Wilson scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds, her third double-double in three games. Clemson's 36 points were the lowest ever by a team in the rivalry's 63 games. The previous low was South Carolina's 40 points in 1990. Clemson (2-1) gave its fans brief hope, taking a 4-2 lead just over two minutes in, leading to a timeout by Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley after her team had two of its first five shots blocked.

No. 1 seeded South Carolina women’s soccer (16-2-1) is set to host Wisconsin (14-5-2) in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament on Fri., Nov. 17. Kickoff from Stone Stadium is slated for 6 p.m. ET, and the match can be seen on SEC Network+. Friday’s contest will mark the first meeting between the two schools.
