The South Carolina volleyball team earned its first win under interim head coach Dottie Hampton in dramatic fashion Wednesday night, beating Auburn 3-1 in front of a national TV audience. The Gamecocks fought through 42 ties and 13 lead changes over the four sets to snap a three-game losing streak and move to 10-9 for the season (3-4 SEC).

W. Soccer. No. 3 South Carolina Faces Missouri Thursday On The Road

No. 3 South Carolina women’s soccer (13-1-0, 7-0-0 SEC) continues SEC play this week when it faces Missouri (6-9-1, 2-5-0 SEC) on the road on Thu., Oct. 19. Kickoff from Walton Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the match can be seen on SEC Network+. With a win over the Tigers and losses by Texas A&M and Tennessee Thursday, the Gamecocks will clinch at least a share of the SEC Regular-Season Title.

W. Tennis. Gamecocks Head North For ITA Regional Tournament

Reigning national champion South Carolina is scheduled to participate in SEC Women’s Basketball Media Day on Thu., Oct. 19, from 1-3 p.m. Head coach Dawn Staley, senior forward A’ja Wilson and sophomore guard Tyasha Harris will represent the Gamecocks at the Omni Nashville Hotel and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Swimming & Diving. Gamecocks Travel to Purdue for Second Meet

After an outstanding start to the 2017-18 season, South Carolina swimming and diving will travel to West Lafeyette, Ind., to take on Purdue Thurs., Oct. 19. The dual meet will begin at 6 p.m. ET at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center.

South Carolina fired one of the best rounds in the field Tuesday on a windy final day at the 2017 Crooked Stick Invitational to finish fifth. The Gamecocks shot 290 (+4) in round three and rose two spots up the leaderboard. Four players finished in the top-25 for Carolina, led by All-American Keenan Huskey’s T-10th finish.

South Carolina women’s golf moved inside the top-10 in the latest Golfweek rankings, the publication announced this week. The Gamecocks, who were listed at No. 14 in the previous poll, climbed to No. 7 following a strong showing at the Tar Heel Invitational this past weekend.
