South Carolina got off to a solid start at The Jackrabbit on Sunday afternoon, shooting a 6-under round of 282. The talented duo of senior Keenan Huskey and junior Scott Stevens led the Gamecocks in the opening round as both shot in the 60s for the first time during the 2017-18 season. Huskey provided the highlight day with his first career hole-in-one in competition for the Garnet and Black.

No. 11 South Carolina’s golf sits in second place at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate after opening the 54-hole event with a 3-over 291 Sunday at Olympic Hills Golf Club. Sophomores Anita Uwadia and Lois Kaye Go both carded a 71 (-1) on day one to pace the Gamecocks, who will enter Monday’s second round three shots off the lead.

W. Volleyball. Gamecocks Cap Home Weekend With 3-1 Win Over Tennessee

The South Carolina volleyball team celebrated its annual Dig Pink match Sunday afternoon, and rode a strong offensive performance to take a 3-1 win over Tennessee (8-5, 1-3 SEC). The Gamecocks hit .301 for the match, with Mikayla Shields leading the way with 21 kills. With the win, the team improves to 9-6 this season, 2-1 in conference play.

South Carolina was unable to overcome a halftime deficit Tuesday night, as it fell to Coastal Carolina (4-5-0, 0-1-1 Sun Belt), 2-0 at Stone Stadium. The Chanticleers scored twice in the first 21 minutes of the match en route the shutout victory.
