M. Tennis. Gamecocks Set To Compete In ITA All-American Championships

After two third-place finishes in the first weekend of the fall season, South Carolina men’s tennis will be back on the courts this weekend at the ITA All-Americans and the South Carolina Collegiate Invitational. Five Gamecocks will travel to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships, which will begin on Sat., Sept. 30 and continue through Oct. 9. Two South Carolina student-athletes will travel to Belton, S.C., to compete in the South Carolina Collegiate Invitational, which begins Fri., Sept. 29.

M. Basketball. Puerto Rico Tip-Off Relocated To Myrtle Beach

Due to the devastating impact that Hurricane Maria had on the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the 2017 Puerto Rico Tip-Off has been relocated to Conway, S.C., and the event will now be played on campus at Coastal Carolina.

No. 3 South Carolina women’s soccer (9-1-0, 3-0-0 SEC) resumes SEC play this week when it faces No. 18 Ole Miss (9-1-1, 2-1-0 SEC) on the road on Fri., Sept. 29. Kickoff for Friday’s top-25 battle is slated for 8 p.m. ET, and the match can be seen on SEC Network+.

W. Cross Country. Gamecocks Head to Notre Dame for Joe Piane Invitational

The University of South Carolina cross country team returns to action after a three-week layoff when it competes Friday at the 2017 Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. Action for the Gamecocks begins at 2:30 p.m. ET with the Open Division 5K and continues at 3:15 p.m. with the Gold Division 5K.

W. Volleyball. Volleyball Hosts LSU, Tennessee for Conference Home Opener

The South Carolina volleyball team returns home Friday and Sunday for two crucial conference matchups. The Gamecocks welcome in LSU (10-3, 1-1 SEC) Friday night, and host Tennessee (8-3, 1-1) Sunday afternoon. Both matches this weekend will air nationally on the SEC Network, with Courtney Lyle and Jenny Hazelwood on the call.

South Carolina (4-4-1, 0-1-2 C-USA) gave No. 2 Wake Forest (9-1-0, 3-0-0 ACC) a fight to the wire on Tuesday night, but a late goal in the 89th minute gave the Demon Deacons a 2-1 victory. The Gamecocks led 1-0 at halftime after freshman Petter Soelberg scored a beautiful goal in the game’s opening minutes.
