No. 11 South Carolina women’s golf continues its fall season this weekend at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Eden Prairie, Minn. The 54-hole event, which features a 12-team field, takes place Oct. 1-3 at Olympic Hills Golf Club.

South Carolina heads to the midwest this weekend to compete in The Jackrabbit for the first time ever in program history. First round action kicks off Sunday for the 54-hole event. The 14-team field will battle it out at the Prairie Club, a long par-72 dunes style course considered by many the top place to play in the state of Nebraska.

Paced by goals from attackers Elexa Bahr and Ryan Gareis, No. 3 South Carolina women's soccer topped No. 18 Ole Miss 2-0 in Friday night's top-25 battle at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The Gamecocks (10-1-0, 4-0-0 SEC) extended their winning streak to eight matches and remained atop the SEC standings with the victory over the Rebels (9-2-1, 2-2-0 SEC).

South Carolina fell into bad habits Friday night in its SEC home opener, costing the Gamecocks (8-6, 1-1 SEC) in a 3-1 loss to LSU (11-3, 2-1 SEC). Alicia Starr and Mikayla Shields paced the offense with 10 kills each, and Aubrey Ezell added 20 digs.

South Carolina equestrian was tied 5-5 with No.1 Texas A&M after Equitation over Fences and Horsemanship but a late run in Equitation on the Flat and Reining proved to be the difference as the Aggies walked away with a 12-8 victory Friday in College Station, Texas.

W. Cross Country. Gamecocks Place 13th at Joe Piane Invitational

The University of South Carolina cross country team was back in action Friday, finishing 13th out of 25 teams in the Gold Division of the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. Junior Allison Mueller led the way, posting the seventh-best individual 5K effort in Carolina history.
