South Carolina (2-0-0) came from behind Monday night at Stone Stadium for a huge 2-1 overtime victory over Mercer (0-2-0) to remain undefeated on the year. Freshman Justin Sukow scored the game-winner in the 100th minute with 5 seconds to go off the rebound from a deep shot by sophomore Luca Mayr that was saved. It was the San Antonio, Texas, native’s first career goal.

Swimming & Diving. Gamecock Swimmers Compete in World University Games

Three Gamecock swimmers earned top-25 finishes at the World University Games in Taipei last week. Representing three different countries, Itay Goldfaden, Fynn Minuth and Albury Higgs each competed in at least three events at the competition, and Gamecock swimming coach Kevin Swander took part as one of Israel’s team coaches.

W. Soccer. No. 3 South Carolina Earns 3-0 Home Victory Over High Point

No. 3 South Carolina women's soccer netted a season-high three goals en route to a 3-0 victory over High Point Sunday night at Stone Stadium. The Gamecocks (3-1-0) remained perfect (3-0-0) at home this year with the win, while High Point dropped to 2-2-0 overall following the loss.

South Carolina (1-0-0) welcomes Mercer (0-1-0) to Stone Stadium on Monday evening with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. It’ll be a rematch of last year’s opening round NCAA Tournament game, which the Gamecocks won 1-0.

W. Volleyball. Carolina Claims Gamecock Invitational Tournament Title

Backed by another packed house at the Carolina Volleyball Center, the Gamecock volleyball team clinched a perfect opening weekend on Saturday night, sweeping North Florida (2-1), 25-19, 25-22, 25-17. Carolina did not drop a single set all weekend, and is 3-0 for the year. Courtney Koehler was named the tournament MVP, and was joined by Mikayla Robinson and Aubrey Ezell on the all-tournament team.
