W. Basketball. Gamecocks Rip Down 65-60 OT Win at #25/22 Vanderbilt

South Carolina needed extra time but held off a charging No. 25/22 Vanderbilt team to score a 65-60 victory Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gymnasium. The Gamecocks (15-5, 4-3 SEC) snapped a three-game losing streak with what had previously delivered a seven-game win streak - stingy, disciplined defense, aggressive offense and gutty plays when they counted most. Senior La'Keisha Sutton finished with 20 points, including a career-high four 3-pointers, and five of the team's nine points in overtime.

Track. Gamecock Track Competes At Auburn Invitational

South Carolina track and field competed at the Auburn Invitational Saturday night in what was the first big meet of the season with many of the top teams from the southeast competing at the new Birmingham CrossPlex facility.

M. Tennis. Gamecocks Sweep Season Opening Doubleheader

South Carolina men's tennis (2-0) defeated both Appalachian St. (0-2) and Wofford (0-1) by a score of 7-0 at the USC Indoor Facility in the first two matches of their 2012 campaign. All five freshman Gamecocks made their dual singles match debuts and all of them impressed as the Garnet and Black picked up their first two wins. The Gameocks only dropped one match on the day as a whole and took every available point in the two matches.
