Spartanburg, SC (WLTX) - Marcus Lattimore, the consensus number one high school running back prospect in the nation, has signed with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

SPARTANBURG — Byrnes High School running back Marcus Lattimore, considered one of the nation's top college prospects and South Carolina's "Mr. Football," will head down I-26 to play college football.

Byrnes running back Marcus Lattimore stood front and center in his Spartanburg church Tuesday evening and made a much-anticipated announcement: He's going to play football for South Carolina.
