South Carolina (4-7-1, 0-3-1 C-USA) dropped a heart-breaking 1-0 decision on the road in conference play on a rainy Sunday afternoon at No. 20 Kentucky (7-2-2, 4-1-0 C-USA). The Wildcats scored the game-winner in the 90th minute after the Gamecocks dominated possession for most of the second half.

Kickoff from Razorback Field is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, and the match will air on ESPNU. A victory over the Razorbacks would give Carolina a double-digit winning streak for the second-straight season.

W. Cross Country. Wessel Leads Gamecocks to Koala Classic Title

The University of South Carolina cross country squad dominated from start to finish on Saturday morning en route to a team championship at the inaugural Koala Classic, hosted by Columbia College. Kaylee Wessel took the individual crown as the Gamecocks earned the top six finishing positions and 10 of the top 11.

W. Volleyball. Volleyball Falls in Five to Georgia

South Carolina dropped a 3-2 decision to Georgia Friday night at the Carolina Volleyball Center (25-22, 14-25, 19-25, 26-24, 10-15). The loss sets the Gamecocks back to 9-7, 2-2 in SEC play, in the first match under interim head coach Dottie Hampton. Georgia improves to 12-6 (2-3 SEC).

After being selected for the main draw and claiming victory in the first round, South Carolina senior Gabriel Friedrich fell to No. 18 Julian Cash in the second round of the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships. As the only Gamecock to compete in the main draw, Friedrich’s loss marks the final day of competition for South Carolina.
