South Carolina men’s tennis earned two wins in the first round of qualifying at the Birmingham ITF Futures today. Senior Gabriel Friedrich and freshman Francisco Cerundolo both took home wins in the round of 128 and will continue into Saturday’s second round.

South Carolina sophomore striker Elexa Bahr has been tabbed the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Friday afternoon. The accolade marks the second weekly conference honor for the Buford, Ga., native.

W. Cross Country. Gamecocks Finish 12th at SEC Championships

The University of South Carolina cross country team finished 12th on Friday morning at the 2017 SEC Championships, held at the UGA Golf Course. Sophomore Anna Kathryn Stoddard paced the Gamecocks, leading the team to their best result at the conference meet since 2013.

It's Homecoming Week on the University of South Carolina campus in Columbia as the Gamecocks (5-2, 3-2 SEC) host the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-4, 0-4 SEC) in an SEC Eastern Division match up on Saturday, October 28. Game time is set for 4 pm ET at Williams-Brice Stadium (80,250) in Columbia. The game will be televised by SEC Network.

No. 3 South Carolina women's soccer topped No. 17 Florida 1-0 to capture its second-straight SEC Regular-Season Title Thursday night at Dizney Stadium. Sophomore attacker Elexa Bahr netted the game-winning tally in the 80th minute for the Gamecocks, who posted an unbeaten mark (9-0-1) in league play for the second-consecutive year.

Swimming & Diving. South Carolina Wins Season’s First Home Meet

No. 20 South Carolina men's swimming and diving started homecoming weekend with a 168-132 victory over North Carolina Thursday afternoon at Carolina Natatorium. South Carolina's No. 22 women's swimming and diving team also had a strong meet, but fell short to the No. 19 Tar Heel women, 159-141.

No. 9 South Carolina women’s golf rounds out its fall season this weekend at the 16th annual Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. The 54-hole event, which takes place Oct. 27-29, plays host to a competitive 18-team field at the Country Club of Landfall.
