The Gamecock volleyball team dropped a five-set to Miami (Ohio) on Friday night, 25-21, 20-25, 25-15, 22-25, 11-15. The Redhawks improve to 6-4, while Carolina stand at 5-3 this season. Mikayla Shields and Aubrey Ezell each had career nights, with Shield hitting .431 with 26 kills and Ezell digging 22 balls and adding six service aces.

Sophomore striker Elexa Bahr's first-half goal lifted No. 7 South Carolina women's soccer to a 1-0 victory over No. 4 Clemson in Friday night's top-10 battle at Riggs Field. The win earned the Gamecocks a point in the Palmetto Series and improved Carolina's record to 6-1-0, while the Tigers (6-1-0) suffered their first loss of the season following the setback.

M. Golf. Gamecocks T-5th After Round One of Carpet Capital

South Carolina opened its home tournament, the Carolina Classic, Friday afternoon with a 3-0 victory against Eastern Kentucky (2-6). Mikayla Shields led the team with 12 kills, and Aubrey Ezell added five service aces to move the Gamecocks to 5-2 this season.
