South Carolina volleyball lost a 3-0 decision to Ole Miss at the Carolina Volleyball Center Sunday afternoon. The Gamecocks fell, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19 to the Rebels to set their record at 9-9 overall and 2-4 in the SEC.

South Carolina men’s golf tees it up this weekend up north at the Crooked Stick Invitational in Carmel, Ind. The Gamecocks, who are making their first ever appearance in the event, will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

South Carolina (4-8-1, 0-4-1 C-USA) dropped a 5-2 decision Saturday night at Stone Stadium to No. 14 FIU (8-0-3, 4-0-1 C-USA). The Gamecocks led 1-0 in the 51st minute, but the Panthers high-powered offensive attack scored four unanswered goals in the second half en route to the victory.

Senior golfer Ainhoa Olarra continued to pace South Carolina at the Tar Heel Invitational after carding a 5-under 67 Saturday at the UNC Finley Golf Course. The San Sebastian, Spain, native posted her second-straight under-par round for the No. 14 Gamecocks, who sit in third place (565, -11) following a 7-under 281 on day two of the 54-hole event.

The South Carolina men’s tennis team built on their successful first day at the ITA Carolina Regional with seven more wins on Saturday. Three Gamecocks made it through to the third round of the singles draw and all three doubles teams advanced to the second round of the doubles bracket.

Matt NeSmith (2012-16), Sean Kelly (2011-16), Will Murphy (2011-15), Dykes Harbin (2009-13) and Mark Silvers III (2005-09) all advanced at their sites, with Kelly finishing at the top of the leaderboard.

No. 3 South Carolina women’s soccer (12-1-0, 6-0-0 SEC) returns to action this weekend when it hosts Vanderbilt (9-4-1, 4-1-1 SEC) on Sun., Oct. 15. Kickoff from Stone Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET, and the match will air on SEC Network. Sunday’s contest will feature a Pink Out to raise awareness for breast cancer, and each fan who attends the game wearing pink will receive $1 admission.
