The South Carolina men's soccer team (5-3-0) tallied its fourth-straight win Saturday night at Stone Stadium after downing Georgia State (5-4-0), 3-1. The Gamecocks took the lead in the 22nd minute after a goal by senior Koty Millard and remained ahead the remainder of the match.

The Gamecock women’s tennis team had another strong outing at the UVA Invitational on Saturday as the team competed exclusively in singles action. The standout performer on day two was Paige Cline, who won both of her matches to reach the finals in the Orange draw.

South Carolina is set to open its season this weekend at the 2016 ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event, which is hosted by UCF at Watson Course, takes place Sept. 25-27 in Reunion, Fla. This fall marks the third appearance at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate for the Gamecocks.

The University of South Carolina men’s tennis team began the 2016-17 divided between the Ivy-Plus Tournament in Princeton, N.J., and the Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga. Between both sites, the Gamecocks were a combined 12-4 in singles matches.
