Track. Gamecocks Begin Vanderbilt Invitational with More Strong Efforts

The University of South Carolina opened their journey at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday evening with junior Ncincilili Titi setting the tone for another successful weekend. Titi captured the men’s 200m dash, with four additional Gamecocks finishing on the podium in their respective events at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.

M. Tennis. Gamecocks Win Two Against The Citadel

South Carolina swept a doubleheader over the Citadel on Friday at the Carolina Tennis Center with strong play across the board. The Gamecocks (2-0) won both matches 7-0, after sweeping the doubles point.

The South Carolina baseball team wrapped up its second annual MLK Week of Service with a visit to the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital. Junior infielder Matt Williams and pitchers Tyler Haswell, Hayden Heflin and Adam Hill met some amazing kids and great fans.

University of South Carolina students who play sports will soon see changes to their schedule, giving them, in most cases, at least an additional 21 days away from athletics so they can study, pursue an internship, or get additional rest and recovery.

No. 16 South Carolina women’s tennis travels to Jacksonville, Fla. for a double header against North Florida and Florida A&M Saturday, Jan. 21 at the UNF Tennis Complex. The Gamecocks are coming off of a 6-1 win against Furman from the previous weekend and are preparing for the ITA Kick-off Weekend next week.

Senior center Alaina Coates posted her fourth-straight double-double, and junior guards Kaela Davis and Allisha Gray reached double figures to carry No. 5/5 South Carolina to a 65-46 win over Ole Miss Thursday night at Colonial Life Arena. The victory marked the ninth-straight win over the Rebels for the Gamecocks, who improved to 16-1 overall and 6-0 in SEC action. Ole Miss sits at 13-6 for the year and 2-4 in the conference following the loss.
