South Carolina sits in seventh place after day one of the Crooked Stick Invitational with a total score of 584 (+8). The Gamecocks struggled in round one (301, +13), but bounced nicely in round two (283, -5) during the afternoon thanks to under par rounds from senior Keenan Huskey, junior Scott Stevens and sophomore Caleb Proveaux.

M. Tennis. South Carolina Finishes Play at ITA Regionals

The South Carolina men’s tennis team wrapped up a successful showing at the ITA Carolina Regionals today. As the final Gamecocks in the competition, Wood Benton and Yancy Dennis competed in the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket, falling to the No. 14 doubles team in the nation.

W. Cross Country. Gamecocks Ranked 15th in Southeast Region

The University of South Carolina cross country team rose to No. 15 in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region rankings, the organization announced Monday. The regional ranking is the first of the season for cross country coach Andrew Allden and the Gamecocks.

In the third day of competition at the ITA Carolina Regionals, South Carolina men’s tennis secured one spot each in the singles and doubles quarterfinals. No. 84 Thomas Mayronne earned his fourth win of the event to push through to the final eight in singles, while Yancy Dennis and Wood Benton defeated a Clemson duo for their spot in the doubles quarterfinals.

A pair of early goals from strikers Savannah McCaskill and Elexa Bahr and a second-half tally from freshman forward Luciana Zullo lifted No. 3 South Carolina women's soccer to a 3-0 victory over Vanderbilt Sunday night at Stone Stadium. The Gamecocks (13-1-0, 7-0-0) stretched their winning streak to 11 matches and stayed atop the SEC standings with the win over the Commodores (9-5-1, 4-5-1).

South Carolina senior standout Ainhoa Olarra carded a final-round 68 (-4) en route to runner-up honors at the Tar Heel Invitational Sunday afternoon at UNC Finley Golf Course. Olarra finished with the second-lowest 54-hole mark (205, -11) in program history for the No. 14 Gamecocks, who placed third after posting a 7-under 281 on day three.
